Am I eligible to apply?

BBA Program:

Admission will be open to those students, who have passed Intermediate Examination (arts, science, or commerce group) from any Pakistani University, with at least 45% aggregation marks.

BCS program:

Admission will be open to those students who have passed Intermediate Examination (pre-engineering), or which Mathematics as compulsory subject with two optional subjects from Economics, Statistics, and Computer Science, from any Pakistani University, with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.

Equivalent Certificates and Conversion of Grade into Marks:

Candidates having obtained qualification from foreign institute shall provide equivalence certificates and conversion of grades into marks from the competent authority in Pakistan.

What are the policy for admission?
IMCS admit students twice a year for its BCS and BBA programs in the months of December and July to start from January and August each year. It follows a transparent policy of open merit for admission. There is no reserved seat for any category of students. Criteria for admission, however, comprise the following:

• Past academic record
• Performance in the entry test and interview.
• Personality and aptitude.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Urge to acquire higher education through hard work.

What are the procedure for admission?
Admission Material:

Admission material consisting of prospectus, application forms, admit card, and sample test paper will be provided against payment of Rs.350/- favoring Institute of Management & Computer Sciences.

Test and Interview (both for BBA and BCS):
There will be a written test of one and one-half hour duration in English, Mathematics, General Knowledge and General Sciences and Current Affairs. The test would carry 80 marks, besides; each candidate will have to undergo a personal interview carrying 20 marks. A candidate shall have to obtain minimum 50 % marks to be eligible for admission.

Documents required with the Application Form:
Candidate seeking admission to BBA / BCS Program will be required to submit application forms with following documents:

• Attested photocopy of National Identity Card, or Form B if a student is of less than 18 years of age.
• Original marks sheet of HSSC examination (both years) with a photo copy of each. Original will be returned after verification.
• Two recent passport size photographs.

What is the minimum Intermidaite Percentage required?

Students waiting for the result of Intermediate Examination may also apply for admission that they had scored a minimum of 45% marks in the First Year Examination, and expect to improve or at least maintain this percentage. However, their admission will be provisional, subject to their passing the Intermediate Examination with at least 45% marks in aggregate. They will be required to submit their final marks sheet within a reasonable time after the announcement of the result, failing which their admission will be cancelled.

Can I add & drop courses?

A student can add / drop a course within two weeks time after the start of classes. After two weeks no request for add / or drop will be entertained.
